Also, clean the bulb of the heel;Don't use hoof oil or grease too much (up to 1x per day);Maintain a healthy frog, this is an essential part of the hoof. The hoof needs air (tip 2). In case of splint use a product that not only dries but heals as well;Let the farrier shoe your horse every six to seven weeks or let him trim in case of barehoofs. |
